Mom

Doc, Duds, and Don

Tuesday, Sept. 02, 2008 - 12:25 a.m.

I am looking for a song called 'Doc' by Earl Klugh.

It's on a long-out-of-print and very hard to find CD called Dream Come True.

The reason I am interested in obtaining my own copy of this song to enjoy is because it's used as the theme song for Ian Maurice.

It would be absolutely illegal and unacceptable for me to suggest that any of my friends out there try and obtain as high quality a copy as possible of this song and email it to me some time after September 4th when I will have access to a high speed internet connection.

So I won't do that. It just wouldn't be right.

I especially do not expect to hear from Scott or Jamie about this matter.

Shopping yesterday was actually successful.

John looked at the cranberry colored shirt and said Hm. And the mustard colored shirt and he said Hm.

So instead, I got a second teal shirt, a black one, a brown one, a navy one, and an apple green one.

The apple green one will hopefully offset my malar rash.

Meanwhile in other apparel news, again, if you give a tin -- what in the world has happened to plain white cotton boxer shorts? All we can find for John is plaid, which tends to show through khakis, or those weird hybrid things called 'boxer briefs'.

Are they going the way of the union suit because now they're something you're supposed to flash?

Sincerely and enduringly baffling.

---

Gods help us all, I found another reality show that I think I'm going to like.

It's called 'Exiled'.

It's MTV's version of Brat Camp, featuring those uber rich hopelessly spoiled My Super Sweet Sixteen alumni.

Apparently we get to see them shovel dung and get splashed or bled on while dealing with livestock, etc.

This resonates. I vote yes.

---

Finally, a sad note -- Don LaFontaine died yesterday.

In a world without the voice of one special man... tears are shed.

---

All right, there. Have a Tuesday.
