Once Washed, Twice Dried Saturday, Sept. 06, 2008 - 12:49 p.m. Yesterday it got so warm in the bathroom down here during my prep for the evening, I had to dry my hair twice. Yeah, I know. Ick. But I'm never caught unprepared these days, and am now honestly convinced that what Old Buddy Dave says is completely and consistently true: I bring the heat with me. The overnight and early morning and mid morning coolness disappears with the rapidity of a thunderclap; right around half past eleven, it genuinely feels like somebody flips a switch or opens an oven door and then, suddenly, it's warm. Thankfully, it's slightly less jarring in the transition from warm to hot. --- It was nice to see the usual suspects last night at Cero's, although I suppose I could have picked a better place to sit: right next to the pool table. I am giving serious consideration to acquiring a used catcher's mask to wear when I sit there. Sit somewhere else, stupid! No, you don't get it; this is where I can see all three of the band members! --- Not a lot else to write about. Solange killed and ate a spider, and in the process of the hunt, she managed to transverse the entire room without actually putting her paws on the carpeted floor. I used to do that when I was a child, (the room climb-around, not chasing spider snacks, thank you) and am a little envious of her flexibility and dexterity. --- Okay, there we are. Have a good Saturday! ---
