First, here is a pretty good article explaning why the subprime meltdown happened.

I kind of got it about half right the other night when Andy and I were deep into the financial jiggery-pokery, but this article is a skabillion times better in its ability to explain what's occurring.

In music news, I see where Keane is going on tour in the UK -- unless all of their demands are met.

Okay, with a nod to yesterday's Ronn Owens talk show, it's time to play Who Plays Whom in the Presidential Election Motion Picture!

My two choices for the main players are:

Kevin Tighe as John McCain
Kristoff St John as Barack Obama

Speaking of politics -- I enjoyed the debate, although I think this was just a warmup.

I have a feeling I'll enjoy the subsequent ones more.

Next, in the Wish I'd Thought Of It department, we have British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen crashing a fashion show and walking down the catwalk in what looks like several stadium coats tied together with a belt decorated with dingle balls.

And wow, does he ever have big ones.
