Simple & Simon

Thursday Oct. 02, 2008 - 12:00 a.m.

Here, look what Warren Buffet said: "There's no way a smart person can go broke except through borrowed money."

Now, excuse me, but how the hell much simpler can it get, anyway?

Digits juxtaposed today: If all goes well, I'll be meeting fellow Diarylander Minstrelite aka Andy later today!

He was in town for this and that and will swing through the neighborhood.

Wow, first Art, which was a blast, and now Andy.

Being able to get out into the neighborhood and navigate every so often is doing me a lot of good.

Oh, I sure hope Simon Pegg isn't pulling anyone's leg about the project mentioned in this interview!...

Tell us about your new film, Paul, with Nick Frost and when we can see it.

We're shooting it next year so late 2009 or early 2010, but we've just got to finish off the script. It's being directed by Greg Mottola who did Superbad and we'll be shooting in New Mexico.

It's a road movie about two friends who are comic book aficionados who go to the San Diego Comic Con and end up doing a road trip around America and get into all sorts of crazy scrapes.

Even though I haven't been to ComicCon since before I got married, this still sounds like an unspeakably gleeful endeavor. As a fan, I frequently travelled up to ten hours in a day by car to get to exotic places like Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. I think at least one big push went from San Diego to Chico.

So, whatever this movie conjures -- chances are it's something I'll identify with.

---

That's pretty much it. Have a nice Thursday.

And for those who need to see this -- Hang in there.
