Dandy & Andy Friday, Oct. 03, 2008 - 12:00 a.m. First, with thanks to Fark, I give you the most memorable image of last night's Vice Presidential debate. --- Wednesday and Thursday saw a couple of situations that called for major facepalmery, an ominously rapid drop in my tolerance levels of PAOEs* who are nothing of the kind, and at least one metaphorical instance of "Here, YOU kill the spider!" Other than that unforgivably obtuse reference, things have been just dandy. --- On a pleasanter note, yes, this is a terribly weak pun, I got to meet fellow Diarylander Minstrelite aka Andy Pope yesterday! As has now been the case in three out of three instances, he came across just like he does in Diaryland. I took some pictures, and of them, this seems to be the one we each prefer: This one was sent to John, who wrote back "Wow, he looks like a music teacher!" The image does not adequately capture the real Andy; there's a mirthfulness and ease of movement about him that is impossible to describe to somebody who hasn't met him. We conversed easily, he made sure I got home safely, and will probably do this very same thing again the next time or time after next that he's in town. Bulletins as events warrant. --- Portions of Steve Fossett have apparently been discovered kind of sort of near his plane wreckage. The best remark over on Fark was that obviously he disagreed with something that ate him. --- There ya go, Have a good Friday. * Patent Authorities On Everything. ---
