Symmetry Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 - 1:40 a.m. Today, Perfect Symmetry, Keane's third album, is released in the UK. Tomorrow, it's released here in the USA. --- Yesterday, John and I spent out time in abject pajamahood. As it should have been. We watched episodes of Season Five of Corner Gas, and we also watched The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Excellent viewing all around. --- There was a great discusssion thread on Fark yesterday afternoon related to the headline: "Toy recalled due to bruising, cuts, blood blisters, and welts on the face, neck, and chest. Back in my day, those were the fun toys." And as we perused the thread, we realized we had been around toys that should have killed us. ThingMakers, BB guns, self-tie swing rope seats, Black Cat fireworks, lawn darts, etc. etc. It wasn't childhood unless you got skinned, blistered, or impaled at least once per annum. What's the childhood ritual these days, what with the high level of computer use? Maybe get a blister on your little finger; maybe get a blister on your thumb... --- That's it, have a good Monday. ---
