Craigslist Case Thursday, Dec. 04, 2008 - 9:43 a.m. John has today and tomorrow off. It's identical to the length of the Thanksgiving weekend except this time he's not compelled to take care of his thoughtful and beautiful wife who couldn't wash her hair or use a knife and fork, or pick her nose last week. However, it's not a completely kickback set of days, as John got up early today and took the car in to get the ignition cylinder fixed. I presume of course that kickbackness begins when he returns home. --- I am currently listening to the Ronn Owens program on KGO -- with avid interest. He's talking about the Craigslist case: FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) A man accused of making unflattering online comments about his former lover and her attorney on Craigslist has been charged with two counts of criminal libel. "It's not a charge you see a lot of," Larimer County District Attorney Larry Abrahamson said of the 1800s-era state law that can put people in jail for the content of their speech or writing. I emailed Ronn the following: I am very glad to hear about the Craigslist issue, for very personal reasons: One of these days, the person who worked me over is going to mess with the wrong person. Maybe it won't be me, but I hope the playground in which these predators thrive is finally going to be bulldozed. --- Okay, that's it! Have a good Thursday. ---
