Groundhog Day 2009 Monday, Feb. 02, 2009 - 8:13 a.m. The Super Bowl came and went, and sure enough, the Steelers pulled it out. As far as Super Bowls go, they are now the all-time winningest franchise in NFL history, with six out of forty-three. The commercial that made me laugh the most was the Magic Wishing Ball / Snow Globe ad from Doritos. --- After the game, we went over to Disneyland, where I renewed my pass, made sympathetic noises at the Tucson native who handled the transaction, and then Dave and I went over to Tomorrowland Terrace where we caught most of the act of Scot Bruce. Instead of the black leather 1968 Elvis outfit that we'd seen him wearing in December, Scot had switched to a lighter-weight 'warm weather' outfit of a silver lame jacket, white necktie, and black shoes and shirt. He was sparkly and amazing and the jacket would have photographed beautifully. Except this was one of the rare times I didn't bother bringing my camera. --- We headed home within an hour of getting there, and were back up the stairs and in front of our computers by ten. --- Nothing else to report today; it's been a quiet and relaxing weekend. Punxutawney Phil saw his shadow, so there will be six more weeks of winter. All right, that's it. Have a good Monday. ---
