Knock Thursday, Feb. 05, 2009 - 12:43 a.m. Nancy Pelosi claimed in a recent press conference that if President Obama's stimulus package doesn't pass, five hundred million Americans a month could lose their jobs. This means that sixty billion Americans could be out of work in a year. We absolutely can't have that. And I mean that sincerely. --- Here's a nice FARK discussion thread about video arcade games. Old Buddy Dave and I had fun looking at this thread. I'd completely forgotten about the "Q*bert Knock"! When I mentioned the Q*bert knock, Dave then said it was the exact same mechanism that caused the Free Game Knock in a pinball machine, and he told me how it was done: When Q*bert fell off, (or the score of the pinball game reached a certain number) that action then sent a little electrical jolt which caused a spring-loaded magnet to reverse charge and knock against the inside of the cabinet. Ain't that cool? I never knew how they did that. --- Finally -- today is Thursday. This is when Disneyland plans usually take place. It's supposed to rain. Which I guess is the rules. --- That's it. Have a good Thursday. ---
