Forty-Four Fingers Tuesday, Apr. 07, 2009 - 12:45 a.m. Today is my birthday. I am forty-four. I am down in Anaheim visiting Old Buddy Dave, and we're planning to go to the River Belle for breakfast. Later this morning if all goes well, we'll also be joined by none other than Alan Brownlee. Alan has several very critically important factors in place for a visit to Orange County this week, principally a medical training class in the area, plenty of spare time as he's between mundane jobs, an iron constitution when it comes to hopping in the flivver and making an eight hour drive like it's nothing, an up-to-date Premium Annual Pass to House Of Mouse, and most of all, an amazingly understanding wife, who is letting him visit as long as he's home by Easter Sunday. So what I'll be doing after I finish this post is plant my arse out in the recliner so as not to disturb Dave, and talk Alan in as he gets into the neighborhood. I couldn't sleep if I tried. --- The automagically-sent birthday greetings from my various subscriptions all plonked into my inbox about a half an hour ago as of this writing; of the cluster, two were from places I had forgotten I'd visited. Then again, I'm old and infirm, so those suprises are actually not a surprise. Or something. --- Thank you to everybody over on Facebook and Twitter; I am already having an amazing day. That's it. Have a nice Tuesday. ---
