Midnight To Midnight Wednesday, Apr. 08, 2009 - 12:37 a.m. I don't remember when or if I have ever had a birthday that was actually a completely great day from midnight to midnight, but that seems to have happened this year. The day began with a few of the usual suspects contacting me at midnight or shortly after and giving me their best wishes. Breakfast at the River Belle was all shimmery and slightly surreal, as Alan and Dave and I sat there in the morning haze and just kind of tried to believe it was all happening. Breakfast itself was fantastic, although looking back, ordering two hubcap sized cinnamon rolls was probably not the optimum choice, because after breakfast came a surrender, a trip back to home base, and for Alan's and my sake, nap that lasted through most of the afternoon. Alan and I headed back at night, though and lasted until half past eleven. To top it off, the weather has moderated and there's been intermittent drizzle. Usually when I'm down here for my birthday, somewhere in the weather report there appears the phrase Record High Temperatures -- but this time, the other kind of luck was with me. Thank you to everybody who has wished me a happy birthday. It really was. --- Sorry not a long post. I was awake for twenty of the last twenty-four hours enjoying my day. Have a good Wednesday. New South Park tonight. ---
