New Total Monday, Apr. 27, 2009 - 12:55 a.m. Here's a new total for Old Buddy Dave's Cat Repair Fund: You guys are amazing. Thank you. Because of your generosity, we are already nearly halfway to $2200.00 -- and it hasn't even been two weeks. If you haven't donated yet, there's the Donate button over in my left hand column. It doesn't have to be a lot, honest it doesn't. As you can see, the notalots have really added up. In this current set of economic parameters, I know that there are a lot of you who are not in a position to give anything, but that's okay. The fact that you are here and reading about Laila and keeping her in your thoughts as she recovers is a good and gracious thing to be doing, and I believe that your good thoughts are making a difference to her. Again, humbly -- thank you. --- Persistent but unsubstantiated rumors have me heading out this evening to the venue where Mike, the band's bassist, has a gig on Monday nights. This won't be difficult, as it's very conveniently in San Francisco. One of these days I hope the rest of Alan's band members in addition to me will consider a field trip to Mike's Friday gig in Oakland, too. Seeding the crowd and cheering him on? Not a bad idea, in my opinion. :-) --- That's it! Have a good Monday. ---
