Bettye Alreadye Thursday, Apr. 30, 2009 - 12:03 a.m. John took the day off yesterday to go to the chiropractor and get his backen some cracken, and when he came home, I'd found something kind of cool on one of the public access stations. A concert by Bettye Lavette. Naturally, I was mesmerized. I went and looked to see when Bettye Lavette is going to be in the Bay Area -- And she'll be here at the Independent on May the 8th with Booker T. -- a dream ticket if there ever was one. Which is fantastic, and I really would enjoy seeing this show there at that venue. Except -- oh look! It's on the same evening as Keane. My lovely Keane that I am NOT going to miss for anything. So. Next time, Bettye! --- Laila Ali Cat has graduated to a soft splint, with her stitches removed. She will convalesce for a couple of nights at the vet's at no charge, and then be allowed home with instructions. We are still in need of donations, though, so if you were considering sending something, that would be wonderful of you. Thank you very very much! --- Nothing else to report. Have a good Thursday. ---
