Wonderful Goodies Wednesday, May. 13, 2009 - 12:54 a.m. Wow, a wonderful goodie arrived in the mail yesterday -- In 1984, my penpal from Amsterdam sent me a couple of audio cassettes, one of which was the 1978 premiere album of the Nina Hagen Band. I finally managed to track down this album on CD. In my never to be mistaken for humble opinion, you haven't actually heard real classic German punk rock until you've heard Nina Hagen deliver her amazingly stupendous cover of the Tubes' "White Punks On Dope". Even my husband managed to sit through it. I haven't exposed him to the rest of the album yet, because he'd just come home from work and was trying to relax, but one of these days during a nice long traffic jam, this will be just perfect!... Just kidding, hon. --- I just got myself a burgundy one of these, because I also got myself one of these. These were mandatory and very understandable requirements from John. :-) If you're wondering, it's not a guitar -- it's a short-scale bass. Nothing's here yet, but I am looking foward to their arrival. When I produced my first music CD, all of the work was done through headphones in the dark of night. To continue to create music under the same set of parameters will be doable. --- Nothing else to report, kids. Have a wonderful Wednesday! ---
