Joke & Changes

Saturday, May. 30, 2009 - 12:04 a.m.

Okay, first, a joke that I heard yesterday on the R&B Joke Hour:

A new farmer purchases a small flock of sheep, and after awhile, he decides he wants more sheep. So he calls the vet and asks for recommendations and the vet says to try artificial insemination.

The farmer has never heard this term before, but being new, he doens't want to look like an idiot either.

So he hangs up and deduces that 'artificial insemination' must mean that he has to inseminate the sheep with his own body.

So he loads his little flock into the Land Rover, and drives up into the forest and herds them out and has sex with each of them. Then he brings them back home and calls the vet and asks "Hey, if my sheep are pregnant, how will I know?"

The vet says "If they are pregnant, they'll lay down and roll on the grass."

The farmer says thanks and hangs up. The next morning, he looks, and the sheep are all still standing up.

So obviously, the first attempt at insemination didn't work. He then takes the Land Rover out to the pasture again, loads up the flock, takes them to the woods again, services all of them, brings them back home to the pasture, and falls down asleep from exhaustion.

The next morning, his wife wakes him up and says "Honey, the sheep are acting strangely."

Farmer says, "Oh, yeah? Are they all laying down on the grass and rolling around?"

And she says "No, they all got into the Land Rover and one of them is beeping the horn."

Well. Kevin quit the band.

Alan says the reason Kevin gave was that he didn't like the direction the band was going.

This intrigues me, because in the two months and change I was able to work with Kevin -- I never had a clue as to what he thought the band should be doing.

Meanwhile, all I can do is make guesses as to what kind of music Alan is looking for, based on what I know about him and his musical knowledge.

So since I'm the new kid, I don't quite know what the fuck happened there with Kevin's departure.

All I wanted to do was show up and sing.

But Alan's put an ad over on Craigslist, so we'll see what happens with it.

That's it. Have a good Saturday.
