End Of May 2009

Sunday, May. 31, 2009 - 1:01 a.m.

Holy Moses.

I've seen 'beatnik' spelled as 'bitnick' on a poetry site.

Ugh. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

As a general rule, you'll be able to find some pretty entertaining shit-piles if you Google the word 'poerty' instead of 'poetry'

---

Yesterday was quiet here. John went to a framing store to see about re-securing some original artwork back into the frame.

It was so busy in there, he decided to go back on Monday.

---

Bass practice went just fine.

I have pretty much allocated weekends to just practicing songs, versus also practicing scales.

Sometimes I can even remember which scales make which note patterns for which song. Neener.

Like I've said before, I own a bass guitar and I *play* a bass guitar, but despite assurances, I still think it will be quite a while before I'm actually a bassist.

But it's sure a nice journey.

This instrument is awesome, and for some reason I feel like I'm getting acquainted with a long lost friend whenever I pick it up to play.

---

Speaking of playing, I will be going to Vacaville by way of the SF / Vallejo Ferry for the first time since May 3rd.

I haven't seen Alan or the rest of the band members since May 3rd, so I'm looking foward to this practice a whole bunch.

Alan wants to change the name fro The Burning Sensationz to something else.

I mentioned this in chat to Omaha Dave, who came up with High Risk Factor.

The band members are also kind of getting a little long in the tooth, so I think a good name would be Defibrillator.

I suppose we'll see.

---

That's it. Have a good Sunday, and happy last day of May.

And congratulations to The Bob Chance Band, who went back to work at The Place Formerly Known As Cero's.
