One & One & One = 3 Wednesday, Jun. 03, 2009 - 12:05 a.m. A couple of nice things to report: Had a pleasant visit with Abby last night via AIM; persistent rumors are putting her in San Francisco in about a month and a half for a Thing She Has To Do, and if that happens, she has asked me to Officially Hang Out with her, which I'm looking forward to doing. --- Music: I learned the opening bass riff for "Come Together". Alan also thought that the practice on Sunday was surprisingly good; the playlist was purged, and things sounded and felt really good. Now all we have to do is find a lead guitarist who does not mistake that for being a leader. A band will not work unless it's a benevolent dicatorship, and even though I've already slapped my forehead about a half dozen times regarding what did and did not get purged from the playlist -- that's just the way the wheels turn. Alan hires and fires, and Alan picks the music. But this is the way it's worked the best for most other bands I've encountered, so let's not break what isn't broken. --- In other news, my Three Wolf Moon t-shirt has finally arrived. I expect my life to be changed profoundly and forever. --- That's pretty much it. Please do me a favor, and send good vibes to my band boss Alan today, he's got a job interview. Thanks -- have a good Wednesday. ---
