Two Family Visitors

Tuesday, Jun. 09, 2009 - 12:01 a.m.

Monday turned out to be not as laid-back as we'd originally thought it was going to be, but this is by no means a complaint.

An old family friend showed up.

---

When my family had lived in Yuba City, Sean had lived across the street from us and just kind of kept finding himself over at our house instead of his.

There were lots of things happening over there, and because of that, he preferred to hang around with my family.

Twenty-five years later, my brother and I have both friended him on Facebook, done some catching up, and then yesterday, he and his wife came to San Francisco for the day.

It was a really nice day.

---

John and I tried to figure out what to do for them. If I have guessed right and I know Sean, he won't want a single thing above and beyond anybody's means, and he'll also want it to have a personal touch.

So we took him and his wife to Denny's in Pacifica, and then we went to Sutro Gardens.

Here's John's excellent picture of me with Sean and Felicia:

We are standing just outside Denny's.

---

I've already posted many many pictures of Sutro Gardens here, AKA home of the Diana statue, so I'll spare you.

But Sean and Felicia seemed to enjoy seeing the things we think are personally so precious to us.

---

So that's what we ended up doing after John got home from the chiropractor.

The day of walking around at Sutro Gardens definitely helped John sleep, that's for sure.

Not much else to report, but I wanted to show you an old family friend and his wife.

---

That's it. Have a good Tuesday.
