Good To Go Monday, Jun. 15, 2009 - 1:04 a.m. Practice went about as well as can be expected Sunday. Todd The New Lead is an absolute *FIND*. Wow. He really impressed us all. He's very level headed, eager to learn what needs to be learnt, and has no drama. I didn't know they still made lead guitarists like this. --- The trip over was gorgeous, although I missed the 12:40 ferry and had to take the 2:10 one and as a result of a certain un-named blood-sugar-crashed nutso broad in the car with him who wanted McDonald's Right Goddamned Now, Alan was late getting back home to be there when Todd arrived. I had made the Brownlee household a pan of cornbread, which I gave to Dee with the assurance that it was intact cornbread when I *packed* it... and she laughed. Mike T Bassplayer called and also made it to rehearsal; it definitely was a pretty day to be making the drive from the East Bay where he resides. We practiced about a dozen songs on the list; Todd is a quick study, and despite his talent, he's pretty modest, and he's patient with the rest of the band when there are mistakes. He also took a few moments and put his guitar down and went over and played the drums for a while, too. Overall, I would say it was a good practice. --- Oh, and everybody likes the new band name, too. Whew. More band news as events warrant. Alan & The Archives are good to go. :-) --- That's pretty much it for now. Have a good Monday, folks. ---
