The Stupid, It Burns Friday, Jun. 19, 2009 - 12:11 a.m. My throat thing is still here. I should be okay soon, though. It feels less like a THING and more like just a thing. --- A situation or two in my field of vision in recent days has made me take Plognark's illustration to heart, so I am rehosting it and sharing it with you all. I will spare you the details, but trust me, this has done me a world of good: Plognark, whoever you are, thank you for letting us use the illo. It's a cool thing to do in this day and age. BTW, check out the CafePress stuff featuring this illo. No, I am not affilated. Wish I *were*, though.... --- In other news, my pennywhistle in the key of C arrived yesterday. I haven't played one regularly in about two decades, so it was nice to begin doing so again. There's a nice bagpipe solo smack dab in the middle of Under The Milky Way, and since nobody in the band plays bagpipes or wants to program the synth (which would kind of be insulting to bagpipers everywhere anyway), I've offered to try and duplicate the solo on pennywhistle. Which I hope isn't an insult to pennywhistlers everywhere. Wish me luck. --- That's it. Have a good Friday. ---
