Sunday Into Monday

Tuesday, Jun. 30, 2009 - 1:21 a.m.

Here are a couple more pictures from Sunday.

This is what the car thermometer said as we were heading to Vacaville from Vallejo:

Based on this, I had honestly expected a sweatbox, but the garage was relatively pleasant, due to the fans and the frequent breaks.

Here's the only halfway decent picture of Alan and Todd:

It's my intention to take pictures in the future that actually show all of Todd's face.

I'd also taken a couple of really nice pictures of Mike The Bassist, but unfortunately, they were outside on Alan's driveway, as he was wheeling his gear back to his car -- and therefore all sorts of wonderful identifying details of the neighborhood were also visible.

Here, burglars, go and use Street View to find Alan's house and steal his gear.

Nah, don't think so. Ain't happening.

I wasn't able to crop in and end up with a picture of Mike that was decent enough to upload, so I'll try again next time.

---

Now then, whirly swirly up to present day.

Monday's flight was fairly routine. I had the great joy of sitting next to the Only Crying Child On The Plane.

However, instead of trying to stuff a napkin into its mouth like I used to dream of doing, I smiled and made eye contact with the parents, and eventually the year old girl.

Apparently having a fellow band member with a houseload of inventive and tireless young females of all noise levels imaginable has managed to mellow me.

It was a good journey. Dave was right on time, and here I now sit, in the early morning hours of Tuesday, in the wash of the swamp cooler and enjoying seeing not one but two kittehs moseying around the place.

Laila looks really healthy. Her fur has grown back over her drumstick. I will take bunches of pictures of her while I'm here.

---

That's about it. Have a good Tuesday.
