Found Camera

Sunday, Jul. 12, 2009 - 3:16 a.m.

On Saturday morning, with little or no hope of getting my camera back, I contacted these folks:

Because I figured the worst that would happen is that nobody had seen it and I'd have a little more peace of mind as to whether I'd done enough legwork to try and get it back.

I got through to a nice guy named Mark, and said "Hello, I hope you can help me. I seem to have misplaced a camera during my visit to your establishment on Friday night."

He asked approximately when I had lost it, the make and model of the camera, then he excused himself to go dig.

In about a minute and a half's time -- he asked me if I could identify any pictures on the camera.

I'd been meddling with various lighting setups, and so I had been practicing on Solange and Dave. "There should be a picture of a guy wearing an Angels shirt and sitting in a computer chair, cuddling a Siamese," I said.

Mark then said "Okay, that's the picture that I'm looking at right now."

Then he assigned a case number, gave instructions on how to come get it, which Dave VERY graciously did for me, and here it sits.

As you can see above, it's made me very happy.

Okay, yeah so that picture of me with Uncle Joe is kind of old, but it still captures the moment of yesterday morning better than anything else.

Oh, and the picture of the Lost & Found sign was taken by Dave with the retrieved camera. Thanks, hon!

---

I took lots of nice pictures at the bar, and will post them when I get home.

I'll be travelling tonight and posting more pics in a day or so. The usual suspects can expect my whoosh and thud pings.

---

That's it! Have a good Sunday.

And wow, the Disneyland Lost & Found *is* legendary, after all.
