Been enjoying some new music.

Check out Tiny Masters Of Tomorrow and their song "Skeletons"

Also recommended is Fleet Foxes with their song "Mykonos".

No, I didn't see either of these vids on MTV, what, you kiddin me or sompin?

I came across these artists on local public access. Probably one of the only bastions of originality actually left on television.

Forty years ago today, I was awake later than usual, at the insistence of my parents.

I remember watching the broadcast of the first Moon landing on the color TV.

One of the things I remember is my dad helping my mom out of her easy chair because my brother was due in October.

It was a marvelous thing to observe, the news coverage and the 'aster nots' on the surface of the Moon.

Now, if you have a cell phone, please go get it and hold it in your hand while you consider this: The Apollo Guidance Computers had less processing power than an average cell phone.

But that technology got numerous people to the Moon and back.
