Mom

Righteous

Friday, Aug. 07, 2009 - 12:00 a.m.

I was sorry to read about the passing of director John Hughes.

The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, dickheads.

They all adored him. They thought he was a righteous dude.

Friday Five

Hodge Podge!

What activity can you not believe you survived in your childhood?
That car accident when I was seventeen should have killed me, so I guess, that.

What activity can you not believe kids get away with today?
What's with females under the age of ten wearing makeup?

If you could be anyone else in the world live or dead, who would you choose to be?
I'd take over the body of the Sultan of Brunei and give a million dollars to the band I sing in.

A lot of people think they've been in love at 15 or 16 years old, do you think you now look back and think you were a stupid kid or do you believe that you were old enough to know what love is?
I definitely knew. My expectations have evolved for the better, but I definitely knew the basics back then, and the basics for me have not changed.

Do you think it is possible to remain in love with someone you once loved, but haven't seen in a year?
Yes. Ask any happily married military spouse.

Link is to the left.

Kevin Standlee just pointed something out to me yesterday.

Apparently, for nearly the last two decades of my life, I've been REVERSING the Japanese honorific suffixes -san and -chan.

Hooray! But at least most of the fifty or so Japanese nationals I surely must have caught off guard with this probably won't run into me again anyway.

What was it Douglas Adams said? "It must have been a Thursday. I never quite got the hang of Thurdsay."

That's enough. Have a good Friday.
