Powerless

So yesterday around midnight, after I got home from Skip's, I booted up and downloaded my pictures and made yesterday's post.

All things normal, and no indication of anything wrong.

Then, without warning, the power adapter that plugs into my Powerbook didn't light up anymore to indicate a connection and the battery stopped charging.

It's not the adapter. I tried John's as well as mine. It's the computer itself.

The battery is okay, the hard drive has no errors, and my adapter works with John's computer, which is the same make and model as mine.

So now the only thing left to have a go at is either the less costly DC-in board, or the logic board.

The nice expensive logic board. Fuck.

So, for at least the next few days, those of you who usually see me on Yahoo Messenger will have to bide your time. I'll be back as soon as my laptop is well.

The Mac guys are pretty good, though. I just hope this is a fixable thing.
