Duke Ahoy Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 - 2:04 a.m. The flight to Duke was as painless as possible although I'm really getting tired of being a sweaty betty when I travel. My hair crunched and my B. O'd so bad I gave up and took a shower on the night I got there. But I'm settling in, and we'll go out and about later today when we are both this side of reasonable comprehension. --- Solange is settled in on her favorite piece of luggage, namely my electronics case. O B Dave was right, Laila does seem friendlier. --- As my regular readers know, I fell down a couple of days ago. I landed on some furnishings on the way down. Here's how my leg bruise looks now. The bend of my right knee is at the top and out of frame, and the bruise is on the outside of the leg. Now, I haven't had a bruise of this quality in a while, so I figured it was worth documenting, but if you don't wish to see, then don't click the link. But wow, it's really big and icky. --- Nothing else to report. Have a good Wednesday. ---
