Mockingbird Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 - 1:35 a.m. Yesterday I stayed in and tried to take it easy and preserve my strength. We'll find out later today during our first attempt at going to the park how successful this strategy has been. --- Congratulations to the Phillies, who are now headed to the World Series! As for tonight? Go Angels! --- I was saddened to read of the passing of Collin Wilcox. She was the actress who played Mayella Ewell in the 1962 film adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird. I travel with a copy of that book, and read it every time I am aboard a flight. --- A consequence of staying in and not even having the radio on for very long is that I didn't hear any news to write about. So -- That's it. Have a good Thursday. ---
