Olympic Stuff Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 - 12:08 a.m. Just a reminder, if you want to see the special Olympic section of Google News, it can be found here. --- John and I watched the finals of the Canadian Women's Curling event, with the winning rock pushers going to Vancouver. If you see this in time, and have the Universal Sports channel, the repeat is on from 11am-1pm PST later this morning, Wednesday the 16th. And tonight -- we'll see the men's final, from 9-11 pm PST. --- One more Olympic story that caught my eye -- a female Chilean weightlifter who was training in Brazil became ill and gave birth to a son. She had no idea she'd been pregnant, because when the body fat ratio drops past a certain level, menstruation stops. Congratulations to Elizabeth Poblete and her new baby, Eric. Elizabeth, now that you have a son, the weight of the world really is on your shoulders. --- A passing of note, at least to me. Mark Ritts has died. You might not recognize the name, but he was the actor who played Lester the Rat on Beakman's world. Lester was originally scheduled to just be a puppet, but then the character became portrayed by a disgruntled actor in a rat suit. He was 63 and he had kidney cancer. --- That's it. Have a good Wednesday. ---
