Meat Loaf Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 - 12:55 a.m. I felt pretty good on Sunday, and then on Monday morning, I woke up in extreme discomfort. I had swollen tonsils, and a fever of 100 degrees. So I hibernated yesterday, toddling out of bed to sip tea sometimes, and when John got home, he prepared some really heavenly mashed potatoes and nuked the last three pieces of meat loaf. A dollop of mashed potatoes and one and a half pieces of meat loaf is very good after a day of not feeling good. As of this writing, my tonsils are hurting less, and my temperature is down to just around 99. --- When I finally emerged from the cave, I found this article waiting for me. Yes! --- The other thing John and I did last night was watch 'Brace For Impact', which is the story of flight 1549, featuring commentary by its pilot, the very cool and amazing Chesley Sullenberger. Educational materials are rarely riveting, but this special definitely was. --- That's it. I'm still not a hundred percent, so I'm heading back to bed. Have a good Tuesday. ---
