Na'vi Neepery Thursday, Feb. 04, 2010 - 12:11 a.m. Larry King Live was excellent on Wedneday night. His guests were Jim Cameron and assorted cast and crew members of Avatar. There was lots of good neepery, and it turned out to be more significant and full of information as opposed to the lighter fluffier stuff he manages to crank out. The side by sides of the animation versus the mo-cap was amazing. --- So I guess American Idol winner Kris Allen isn't a big fan of set lists during a show. Well, if I'm a tour musician, I better goddamn well be able to get my hands on a set list, or I won't be happy. There's that moment of scrumble jumble while everybody figures out what song is being performed. I've been in a band whose leader eschewed set lists, and as a perpetual result of this idiocy, the first two bars of everything we ever played sounded like shit. I can't believe Kris Allen doesn't know what the fuck the absence of a set list actually has on the rest of the people in his band. Maybe he meant a set order. But if he said set list, he's a grade A gooberdingle. --- Nothing else to add. Have a good Thursday. ---
