Worth The Waite Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 - 12:42 a.m. My new Tarot cards are here. They are another incarnation of the Rider Waite deck, which is what my original deck is, but I'm retiring my first old deck now, because I have been using them since 1993, when they were purchased for me by my mother. As such, they are precious. So they're being put away somewhere safe. The new deck is really beautiful, and In my hours of noodling around with it, we seem to be getting along quite nicely. And the other reason I purchased these is as a sort of anniversary present for myself, because I've been calling myself Pagan for twenty years this month. --- The other thing that got here is a box of CD envelopes. Whenever Alan burns one for me, there's nothing to cart it home in, and this last time, I was forced to cram it in my cosmetics case with an unused maxi pad on both sides. The envelopes will much more practical and slightly less mortifying. --- Last night, John and I actually sat up and watched curling again. The Vancouver Olympic trials for the wimmens. The Olympics are only a few days away, so this is really whetting our armchair athleticism and we can't wait to see more. --- Nothing else to write about. Have a good Thursday. ---
