Gold Dreams Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 - 12:02 a.m. Olympic stuff: No excuse for the speedskating track malfunction. It's fucking CANADA, the country that practically invented ICE, for god's sake. Stupid bullshit battery powered greenie weenie ice maker. Give me an old gassy Zamboni any day. They had four years and change to fine tune this. John says he hopes there's a big product liability case over this. --- And oh, darn, the Russians didn't get on the podium at all for Pairs figure skating. Gloop, gloop, etc. However, congratulations to Canadian Gold Medalist Alexandre Bilodeau for a fantastic Men's Mogul victory on home soil. --- Today, I'm going to tear myself away from Olympics and take a look at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. I haven't missed seeing at least part of this show in something like twenty-five years. One of the neighbors had two Boston Bull Terriers, and just by their heads sticking out of her car, I knew the boy versus the girl. Martini has since passed and now there's only Olive, but she's still pretty spry. This year, three new breeds are being shown at the WKC for the first time, and there's a very very sharp inky little Scottish Terrier names Sadie who is probably going to win Best In Show. --- Nothing else to report. Have a good Tuesday. ---
