Everybody Dance

Monday, Mar. 01, 2010 - 12:07 a.m.

I now know the Canadian national anthem in English.

The Olympics were enjoyable as usual, even with their problems, which I hope will be addressed by the time the winter athletes reconvene in Sochi, in 2014.

The closing ceremonies were surreal but fun!

---

NBC's laughably abortive 'coverage' was horrible.

Being in the same time zone should at least have resulted in more live broadcasts than there was.

I guess we're pretty thoroughly screwed blue for that next time, too!

---

There WAS live coverage of curling, though, which I adored.

Thanks to Norway and their sense of whimsy and style, people are taking a different look at this 'chess on ice'.

---

Dear NBC: PLEASE fire Bob Costas before the next Olympic broadcast.

He never knows when it's time to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

---

Oh, well. Enough grunching about the Olympics.

I'll save it for when they're in London in 2012.

---

In other news, Facebook was trying to force me to download something and I said no, and now I can't upload images to Facebook from Firefox.

Screw that. I just switched to Safari. Neener.

---

All right, that's it. Have a good Monday.

And happy first day of March.
