Jeopardy! & Grot

Wednesday, Mar. 24, 2010 - 6:45 a.m.

Howdy, folks.

Usually I attempt to get a little something posted by early in the morning so I can head to bed.

But this week's been a corker.

John's been sick with the allergy / head cold / mystery grot this week, so he's been sleeping when he sleeps, and going hawk tooey and blowing his nose when he's awake.

So we've been playing Nap Tag in two and three hour blocks since Sunday, and it finally caught up with me on Tuesday night when I went to bed at 9:30 pm and woke up again this morning at four, with drool, which means it was a really really really deep sleep.

John's still home, but he's improving.

---

One of the bright spots in the day despite the odd sleep and odd body aches has been to see Jeopardy!. This week there was a guy on from Illinois with sensational sideburns who did really well, and looked to us like a lost Bridges brother.

In the bigger picture of things, I'm really glad Jeopardy! has been on for the length of my life, because it's always been a classy program that rewards people for being smart.

And believe me, there are days where I need to be reminded they're out there.

---

I was going to post an editorial about the health care thing, but I'd just rather avoid that hornet's nest right now if it's all the same to you. Thanks. Some of you saw the first draft in IMs, but I'm just kind of wanting to back burner it right now.

I'll post it somewhere at some point, though, I promise.

---

Nothing else to comment on. Have a good Wednesday, and if you wanna, send goodness John's way, please.

Thanks.
