Get Back

Wednesday, May. 12, 2010 - 2:44 a.m.

They say the definition of crazy is when you do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.

Alan has come home and asked me to come back and work with him. I thought about it and and I've said yes. My levels of trust and vulnerability with him have changed forever, now that I know what he is capable of. Don't get me started on the cum-gargling pustule of a female he went trailing after; unless that man is suffering from physical and deliberate emotional abuse at the hands of his wife, as was the case with another of my guy friends, it's my opinion that any woman who facilitates a man walking out on his wife and single-digit-age children is the lowest of the low; she should have turned the hose on him and sent him straight back home. I'm on my guard, though, and I guess that will be the case for quite awhile.

One of these days we're going to have a sit-down, and John adamantly believes I should be receiving an apology from him.

And In the immortal words of Chuck Lorre, I must therefore be nuttier than rat shit in a pistachio factory.

But I'm a huge believer in do-overs, so since he's undergoing a relationship reboot, I'm compelled to give him the benefit of a doubt.

I saw a really lovely quote a day or so ago by supercentenarian Walter Breuning on his 113th birthday (about six months ago)

Remember that life's length is not measured by its hours and days, but by that which we have done therein. A useless life is short if it lasts a century. There are greater and better things in us all, if we would find them out.

I will think of this the next time I get frustrated by the Status Nazis over on Facebook, who love pointing out when I spell something wrong or misquote a popular sayng or whatever. Get a life! For gosh sakes stop trying to make something of yourselves when I put something in my status window that you think needs to be immediately corrected in public.

Okay, I feel better.

Hm. I'm wiped. That's pretty much it.

Have a good Wednesday
