Streaming Fireworks Tuesday, Jul. 6, 2010 - 12:57 a.m. We're still hearing fireworks. But it's San Francisco, a city where fireworks happen to be illegal. Part of the fun is apparently to set them off anyway, at least out here in our neighborhood. --- I'm really having a good time with DSL. One of my current favorite things to do is track down streaming audio; when the miners were trapped down in the Beaconsfield mine in Tasmania, the first thing I did was track down Australian audio streams from talk radio. Now that DSL is in place, my options for international radio stations have increased fivefold at least, and I can also sometimes tune into the accompanying webcam feeds, too. Very very fun! My two current favorite audio location sites are Streaming Radio Guide for national feeds, and Radio Locator for international stations. --- John will be going back to work today. We spent the majority of our time in our pajamas, and watching baseball along with the Liberty! DVD set. It was an excellent vacation. --- All right, that's it. Have a good Tuesday. ---
