Grounding Tuesday, Jul. 13, 2010 - 12:22 a.m. Yesterday morning after John went to work, I showered, and as is the case about every five days or so, I changed my ostomy appliance. I then dried off, got dressed, and came out into the living room and sat in the recliner and logged in. And about ninety minutes later, I stood up, and that's when I found out I hadn't clipped the bottom of the pouch closed. There's times when I get kind of an inflated idea of myself, and then things like this happen. There are few things more grounding than shitting myself at the age of forty-five, with all of my marbies in my holes so I can really really experience every nuance. --- Apologies for such a jarringly inappropriate opener, but last night Toren dropped us a line last night to tell us Jim Hogan died. Mr Hogan was always very kind to me on the occasions we met, and I am sorry I didn't know him better. I think he saved the best of himself for people he was closest to, and Toren was lucky enough to have seen that. < gump > And that's all I have to say about that. < /gump > --- You know what? I think I mean that. I'm done. That's it. See you tomorrow. Have a good Tuesday. ---
