Due Process Thursday, Aug. 05, 2010 - 12:30 a.m. Here is the text of the decision overturning Proposition 8. And here is an analysis of the ruling. From the 14th Amendment Of the United States Constitution: Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. Personally, I will be very glad to live long enough to look back on all of this and wonder what the fuss was about. As I saw stated over on Fark by user lennavan, and in other forms elsewhere, 'just because some people think it's icky' is not a strong enough reason violate the Constitution. --- In other news, my hair is still behaving. --- That's it.
