Quality

Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 - 12:06 a.m.

When I decided to cut back my blogging activity to three days a week, what I thought would happen was that the posts would increase in quality.

Instead, here's what's happened so far.

John was home on Monday with the diet fruit drink quickstep, and I've been neary flattened by allergies.

No time to research or write something decent.

Heh.

Walter Breuning turned 114 yesterday. He gave a presentation at his retirement home, wherein among other things, he shared his grandfather's stories from the Civil War. Wow. Wish I'd seen that.

Here's something he said when he was only 113:

"Remember that life's length is not measured by its hours and days, but by that which we have done therein. A useless life is short if it lasts a century. There are greater and better things in us all, if we would find them out. There will always be in this world - wrongs. No wrong is really successful. The day will come when light and truth and the just and the good shall be victorious and wrong as evil will be no more forever."

Baseball stuff: I have no idea what happened to Texas. Holy shit, I watched the Angels beat them last night.

The other team that seems to have sort of quietly been winning is Minnesota. They now have former Angels pitcher Brian Fuentes, but he's been having back problems. I hope he can come off of the IR list before playoff time.

---

In other news, I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's some video of a baby Snow Leopard.

---

All right. See you next time.
