Bee-Kend Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 - 12:00 a.m. So John and I are kicking back and enjoying his delayed birthday celebration weekend -- pajamas and DVDs and homemade cheesecake... when all of a sudden John goes "Hey, what's that buzzing sound?" We switched off Dick Van Dyke, and I could hear what he was talking about. The angriest bee I've ever heard in my life came in through our opened window and was trapped between it and the curtain. Although not fatally, I'm sensitive enough to bee stings that I would probably have to go to Kaiser to get an allergy shot -- so John shut me in the bedroom and also closed the door between the living room and the hallway. He tried to shoo the bee out the window from behind the curtain, but the bee was being obstinate. Finally, John said he thought he heard it leave. No more bee buzzing. No more flitting against the curtain. We assume it went out the way it came in. I snuck back into the living room and we finished watching the Dick Van Dyke DVD. We're part of the way through Season 2. --- Nothing else to report. See you next time! ---
