Hail Sevens Monday, Mar. 28, 2011 - 8:35 a.m. John and I spent the weekend curled up around the TV and watching rugby sevens. This part of the tournament was in Hong Kong. And the next part of the tournament is in Adelaide, a fact which will be likely to bedevil me for the rest of my days, due to my planning a trip to Australia that doesn't begin until just after that part of the tournament has concluded. On the upside, New Zealand won the Hong Kong segment, yay, and they doffed their jerseys and performed the traditional victory haka not once, but twice -- once for the muckymucks in their skyboxes, and once for the press. They're awfully taped up under those shirts, but wow, not an ounce of fat. John kept wishing he'd had a sketchbook handy. --- In other news, apparently I slept through a nasty-arse hailstorm yesterday afternoon. John says it came and went while I was down for the count -- but during that nap, I dreamed that there was a hailstorm and that I was looking out the window after it ended and seeing all kinds of damage. This whole week, it's been Idaho weather. If you don't like it, wait thirty minutes and something else will be along that will be more to your liking. --- All right, that's it. See you next time. ---
