There's a story going around about Mitt Romney abusing and attacking an effeminate male classmate and cutting his hair against his will.

Abusive?

As a matter of fact, M0rm0ns have been among the most damaged and abusive people I have ever been around.

In varying degrees, they've hit me, lied to me, stolen from me, called people names behind their back, and THEN attempted to have me disfellowshipped when they found out I lived with a cross-dresser.

I am by no means saying they are all wackanoonoo, but something has been very wrong with most of the ones I have personally interacted with.

If any of the specific people I'm talking about are reading this and challenge me at all -- or give me any more rations of grief than they already have -- I'll mention their names and provide contact information so everyone can go and ask them firsthand about their behavior.

As for Mitt Romney himself, I'd sure be interested in knowing if he received counselling or a disfellowship from the church for abusing that classmate. I mean he mentions his faith all the time and he seems to be using it as a selling point -- so, yeah.

Did the bishop kick him to the curb until they believed he was penitent for his actions?

Or did he even tell anybody in church what he'd done?

Surprise, Wondercon's going to stay in Anaheim for 2013. That settles it -- I'll keep going to Swancon (Perth, Western Australia) over Easter weekend.

It's not the commute, it's the principle of the thing. Don't claim there's absolutely no convention space between the Bay Area, Reno, and the Oregon border and then say Oh, hey, look, how convenient -- Anaheim. We know steaming pantloads when we see them.

Okay, here's how to renounce your US citizenship if you don't like how the next Presidential election turns out.

I used to belong to a group of cupid stunts who kept threatening to do this when Dubya got re-elected. It's actually an interesting and time-consuming process.

BTW FWIW those stunts still live here. Imagine that.

In the meantime, it's September 11th.

Today, I'll be bare-headed. I'm also going to wear makeup, and jeans, and a manicure, and smile at men who are not my husband. If it weren't so soon after my oral surgery, I'd eat a piece of pork sausage with my left hand, but that's going to have to wait. However, if anybody else wishes to do so in honor of the day, you've got my encouragement and blessings. Smile all day and buy something indulgent for yourselves.

And do it fearlessly.
