Mouse Driven Tuesday, Apr. 02, 2013 - 11:40 p.m. Here is the costume I wore at Swancon 2013. It's called "Mouse Driven" and it features a mouse with an old-fashioned Atari 2600 joystick which has a wire that's fastened to my left ear: And here is a close-up: I also carried around an iPad and whenever I was doing something with my right hand -- eating, gesturing during a conversation, or drawing -- my left hand was hovering around under the control of the joystick, searching websites featuring pictures of cheese and of fancy mice. The mouse is a Folkmanis finger puppet, which I've named Mr Bingley. He says he had a good time at Swancon, although I daresay he would have had a lot more fun if he'd been able to niggle my payment infomation out of me so he could order himself some goodies from the online cheese shops. Special thanks to Paul Kidd for the development and design. It's the easiest costume I think I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. ---
