Wear A Mask
Wednesday, Aug. 05, 2020 - 6:42 p.m.
I have asthma. I am economy-sized.
I had autoimmune problems with my digestive system when I was a teenager.
I have panic attacks when things touch my face for reasons that will go with me to the grave.
I frequently have bouts of depression.
I was in the hospital on and off for several months in 1983 recuperating from a car accident.
And for the last eight years, I've been being treated for hyperthyroidism and congestive heart failure.
There's not a word strong enough in any language to describe how much I despise wearing a mask.
But I will still wear it as a matter of civic responsibility, because I didn't go through all of this god damned shit to let a pandemic get me, and because I love my loved ones.
If your state requires it, wear a mask.
If your state does NOT require it but you are worried, wear a mask.
Right now, IDGAF about anyone's reasons not to, and IDGAF whether it's a paper sack with eye holes, or just a folded over bandana.
Practice at home until your glasses don't fog over. Practice at home until you don't panic, like I had to do.
But please wear one.
