Happy Birthday, Vince Clarke Thursday, Jul. 03, 2003 - 2:19 p.m. Today is Vince Clarke's birthday. This time last year, I sent gifts to the person who -told- me he was Vince Clarke. I wish I could have those things back to re-give to the real Vince Clarke. All I have left to give now is my thanks. Mr Clarke, thanks for writing "Only You". It was the song that inspired me to go out and purchase my first electronic keyboard. My keyboard survived two failed marriages and a roommate from hell. If I hadn't had it with me to act as a catalyst and to be able to harness the sadness and the passion and the fear, and channel it into something positive, I am not sure that I'd still be here. Maybe it's something you're getting tired of hearing, but I'm not exaggerating when I say that I believe with all my heart that your music saved my life. Mr Clarke, I humbly thank you. I hope you have a good birthday. --- In other news, I've had the webcam for less than twenty-four hours, and I've already seen something I'm going to have to take to the grave. I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it. hee hee... However, having this thing on more often will give me an incentive to keep the living room clean, I guess. ---
