Gratitude Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 - 9:13 a.m. I've been meaning to do this for awhile, but today's the day. --- I'm grateful for friends like Paul, who put me back together again after Fake Andy broke me. I didn't think it was possible, but Paul did it, with grace, and warmth, and style. I'm grateful for friends like Jamie, whose optimism and humor have so often been like rain in the desert. I'm grateful for friends like Cheri, who inspires me in so many ways, seen and unseen. I'm grateful for friends like Todd, who is always honest with me and who has never hurt me. I'm grateful for friends like JJ, whose outlook on life makes her one of the most fearless and beautiful people I know. I'm grateful for friends like Scott, who always gets my jokes, and who almost always reflects back the best parts of me when I can't see them. I'm grateful for friends like Brian, who makes me look up once in a while and notice the beauty of the skies. I'm grateful for friends like Glenn, who never hesitates to tell me when I have it coming, and why. I'm grateful to friends like John, my husband, who tolerates my inconsistencies and lets me weep until I feel better and then turns me around and gives me a push back out into the world when I'm up for it. --- Do not underestimate the value of friendship. It comes in handy when you need it. :) ---
