Off The Beaten Path Sunday, Jan. 04, 2004 - 9:10 a.m. Mars? We're on Mars? Heh. Next thing you'll be telling me is that Britney Spears is married now. --- Seriously... The latest news about the Mars Rover Spirit can be found here. And over here are the images that have so far been released to the public. --- John went on a business trip last September, a week after I got home from Utah. While on the plane, he saw two movies. One of them was 'The Italian Job', and the other one was something he shared with me last night, called 'Interstate 60'. You haven't seen Interstate 60 in any theatre, unless you were lucky enough to see it during a sneak preview or something. For a number of reasons, it was never in general release. But it's probably at your local video store. It's a 'road picture' that will remind you a little bit of The Wizard of Oz, and for those who have seen it, it will also remind you of Signs. It's a tremendous metaphor of a film, and it even includes an element that is present in two of my other favorite movies, the destruction of a BMW. If you're at a point in your life where you are having to decide on major changes, find this movie and watch it. --- The sun is out, so I'm gonna make like a tree and get out of here. :).... ---
