Life Straw & Headline Monday, Aug. 20, 2007 - 12:50 a.m. Let me introduce you to The Life Straw. Personally, I think it is going to save millions of lives in the next few years. And I think this is a brilliant opportunity for water filtration marketers to sponsor these devices so that the poorest people can receive them for free. My opinion is that the Water Aid spokeperson is a cold potato because this device puts their position in danger of disappearing. --- Yesterday, OBDave and I did go to IKEA for a bit, and he found some chair cushions that were affordable and of the right size. The backs of my legs are grateful. Yesterday evening, we watched an unusal double bill on DVD: Whale Rider and History Of The World, Part I. Diametrical opposites, but each good in their own way. --- Finally, from the Fark Files: The story is kind of mundane, but the headline is worth the price of admission. I couldn't top that last one if I tried, so I'll go now. Have a good Monday. ---
