Sentence

Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 - 12:40 a.m.

Bernie Ward, former KGO talk show host -- and former priest -- received a sentence of eighty-seven months, to be served at Lompoc, which is the comparatively less problematic facility.

I would have preferred that he end up in a facility where he had a higher risk of receiving the treatment that the children were subject to in those pornographic pictures he distributed, but this will still do quite nicely.

Nevertheless, by the time he makes new friends where he's going to be living, and they find out what he is in for?

I presume his "Church of the Holy Doughnut" will have to be changed to the "Church of the Donut Ring."

We have a new next door neighbor, and he owns a dog that is so diminutive it can't get enough of a breath to bark loudly.

Praise Insert Deity Here If Applicable. I mean, it's healthy and all, but it's just... weensy.

Sometimes, if I stand over right next to the shared wall?

I can scratch on the wall, and the liddle biddy dog hears me.

Waf. Waf waf waf. uhhhhh...Waf!

In showbiz news, I see where X Files star David Duchovny has entered a rehabilitation facility for sex addiction.

Something Is Sticking Out There.

That's enough. No Friday Five yet, so let me get going.

Have a good Friday and if you're going somewhere this weekend, have a safe trip!

Reading on the link for Duchovny, about the Showtime series his is in called "Californication" where he plays a sex-obsessed character. Guess the role wasn't much of a stretch. Don't think a show should get an Emmy nomination for casting if you're casting folks who already live the part. It's like giving an Emmy for casting, oh say, Mel Gibson as an anti-semite or Robert Downey as an addict.

OmahaDave, Yes. Agreed. I have pondered the same thing about Juliette Lewis for years.
