Happy Halloween Friday, Oct. 31, 2003 - 7:33 a.m. This week's Friday Five: (Questions are boldface, my answers appear beneath.) A: A Witch costume, when I was around five or six. What was your best costume and why? A: In 1988, in Chico, California, I dressed like a dominatrix, complete with black mask and bustier and cat o nine tails; my favorite part of this costume was my roommate, Kevin Standlee, who agreed to dress like a French Maid and be led around town like a slave. That was an interesting night. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn't give you a treat? A: No, due to the simple fact that people have never dared refuse me. :) Actually, one year when I was twelve and my brother was eight, meaning we were both approximately the same size, we went out and trick or treated the neighborhood and the block behind us -- then we got home, inspected our schwag, decided we wanted some more, and went out again -- after we switched costumes. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.) A: This is my new year. I say goodbye to loved ones that pass, and try to spend as much of the day as possible in silence and reflection. Share your favorite scary story...real or legend! A: Actually, my favorite is the one Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre Players told on October 30th, 1938. I can't -possibly- top that one.:)
--- Okay. Now, if you wanna play Friday Five, go here. --- Yesterday night, I got to spend time in IMs with Jamie, and on the phone with Cheri. I have been utterly overwhelmed by the amount of love and affection I have received since yesterday's entry; I am not certain what my future holds, as none of us really are, save this: I am loved, and I always will be. I hope everybody has a fun Halloween, and if you are observing the new year at this time, then Happy New Year and blessed Samhain to you. --- Tomorrow: Blister Watch 2003 returns! ---
